Bridges
If you are hesitant to smile or open your mouth because you are missing teeth, bridges may be the treatment option you need. Both comfortable and natural looking, bridges can fill gaps left by missing teeth, remedy chewing problems, eliminate speech impediments caused by missing teeth, and provide additional strength when biting. Tooth-colored Fillings
Old-fashioned, unsightly metal amalgam fillings are now a thing of the past. Amalgams are the silver, mercury-containing fillings popular in the 60s and 70s. At our Valencia office, we use modern bonding methods and durable tooth-colored, or “composite,” fillings to treat cavities in all of our patients. Tooth-colored fillings blend in with your real teeth, are easy to apply, and are virtually undetectable. In addition, tooth-colored fillings generally require less removal of existing tooth structure to place than traditional metal fillings, and they actually bond to the tooth.
Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are dental restorations used when a patient’s tooth has suffered from too much decay for a standard filling but where the damage is not extensive enough to require a crown. Inlays and onlays are used to restore the flat biting surface of a tooth, also referred to as the cusp. Using the CEREC® machine, we can customize, color-match, and complete your inlays or onlays during a single convenient office visit. During your visit to our office, we will determine which restoration is best suited to fit your unique needs.
Smile Makeover
Sometimes restoring a patient’s smile or improving a patient’s overall dental health requires more than a single dental technique. During a smile makeover, a combination of treatments is used in order to restore and improve the dental health and aesthetics of a person’s smile. For instance, some patients may require porcelain veneers in combination with dental crowns or may benefit from a combination of teeth whitening and orthodontic treatment. We can offer complete smile makeovers to fit your needs. If you are fearful of dentists, we can even complete a smile makeover in conjunction with sedation dentistry options.
